Explore an ocean portal in the pristine La Perouse Bay — Maui’s newest land formation birthed by Madam Pele, Creator Goddess of the Hawaiian Islands. Then take a short walk past an ancient Hawaiian heiau (temple) and immerse in a hidden tide pool. We will make offerings to Kanaloa (Hawaiian ocean deity) and the water spirits. Weather and tide permitting, we may even harvest sea salt for healing and purification, or experience the amazing local sea life … colorful fish, interesting invertebrates, dolphins, whales, or monk seals!
